The Talk Dirty AI trend: the stage dance, explained

The talk dirty ai trend is a 15-second vertical dance video in which the person from one photo walks onto a live concert stage and leads a crew of backup dancers through "Talk Dirty", with a spotlight, flame jets and a giant LED screen. AI Talk Dirty is an independent dance video maker, not a chat app, and it builds your own version from one photo. Make yours.

What the trend is

Every clip follows the same shot list. The lead walks on in the dark among the crew. The lights snap on and the big screen spells the song title. A single spotlight drops, flames fire along the front of the stage, the crew steps in behind and everyone finishes in deep squats. The beat-by-beat version is on the home page.

Only the lead changes. The stage, the dancers in black-and-yellow jackets, the lights and the flames stay the same, and the lead keeps the clothes from the photo: a red dress, a blazer with wide trousers, jeans and a beanie. That is why the clips look so alike and still feel personal.

Timeline

WhenWhat happened
2013"Talk Dirty" by Jason Derulo featuring 2 Chainz is released (digital release 27 July 2013). It reaches No. 3 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and enters the UK chart at No. 1 (chart dated 5 October 2013).
2023A separate Talk Dirty dance challenge circulates on TikTok. It is unrelated to the AI wave.
17 October 2026First TikTok post on the trend sound, a live cut of the song: an AI clip that puts a new person on a concert stage.
After 17 October 2026CapCut users share user-made "ai dance" templates, and many of the most-viewed posts are tutorials for them: a short preview of the AI clip, then a screen recording.
25 October 2026About 205 videos use the main trend sound.

Only dated items are listed. The date and city of the concert footage under the clips are not confirmed.

Why it spread

The whole stage stays and only the lead changes. A viewer understands the clip in one second, because the screen, the jackets and the flames never change, so the only question is who is front and centre this time. That makes it easy to copy and easy to swap in a friend.

It also works across generations. Clips we saw put parents and grandparents in their everyday clothes at the front of the stage, and the contrast between an apron and an arena is the joke. That is the idea behind the Family Star look, for adults who agreed to be in the video.

Honest limits: the opening shot is wide and dark, so the face is small for the first second, and in crowded crew shots faces and hands can blur. The backup dancers are made up and vary from render to render.

These are short previews of the effect, 5 to 7 seconds long. Each belongs to its creator. Renders from AI Talk Dirty run 15 seconds.

FAQ

When did the Talk Dirty AI trend start?

The Talk Dirty AI dance trend started on 17 October 2026, the date of the first TikTok post on the trend sound. That post was an AI face-swap clip, and TikTok flagged it as not suitable for all audiences. The origin of the stage footage underneath is not confirmed.

Do the yellow jackets and the big screen mean anything?

No official meaning has been published for them. The crew wears black-and-yellow jackets, and the giant screen spells the song title, which is how viewers recognise the clip in the first second. AI Talk Dirty treats them as the look of the stage and keeps them the same in every render.

Is it the same as the 2023 Talk Dirty dance challenge?

No. A Talk Dirty dance challenge also went round TikTok in 2023, and YouTube still hosts compilations of it. The 2026 trend is different: people appear in an AI-made concert clip instead of learning steps. The two share only the song title.

How many videos use the trend sound?

About 205 TikTok videos used the most popular trend sound on 25 October 2026, eight days after the first post. That is a count of one sound on one day, not of the whole trend, and nobody has published a reliable total. AI Talk Dirty does not track daily numbers.
